Summer Camps

Day Summer Camps

Ógras organises Day Summer Camps throughout the country in July and August each year. Many of these camps are held in Leinster - others in Mayo, Galway, Donegal, Kerry and Derry.

The camps are a great success and the children get great enjoyment from them. The children are involved throughout the day in events such as word games, sports, art, dancing, music, table quizzes, treasure hunts and fun games of all sorts. They are afforded the opportunity to use what Irish they have in a pleasant, fun environment while learning new words and sentences all the time. We intend continuing with these camps and establish more camps in new areas.

We are grateful to An Roinn Pobal, Tuaithe agus Gaeltachta and to Foras na Gaeilge for the sponsorship they provide to the Summer Camps.
