The Ógrastal is held every year in February and a couple of events are held in the course of this meeting.
Among the events held is the Ógras AGM. This affords the opportunity for the members to hear a report on what has been achieved in the organisation for the past year as well as what is planned for the coming year.
The clubs have the opportunity to nominate people to the Ógras Coiste Stiúrtha. Three young club leaders and three adult leaders may be elected to the new Coiste.
The clubs have the chance to make a presentation on the work in which they are engaged in their own district and also to refer to any problems or difficulties they may be encountering. Every effort is made to assist them in overcoming any difficulties.
In the period leading up to the Ógrastal, both the Coiste Stiúrtha and the clubs may submit resolutions which they wish to have discussed at the conference. Issues such as education, youth work, Ógras events, new projects, the development of the organisation and of course the Irish language itself are discussed, along with many other issues which have a bearing on the aims and work of Ógras.
Competitions in debate and drama are held for the Ógras clubs during the course of the weekend. Any club registered with Ógras may enter the competitions.
Prizes in the Ógras Art Competition are presented during the Ógrastal weekend to the clubs and members of Ógras and Óg-Ógras.

Ógras, óg-eagraíocht Chonradh na Gaeilge celebrated 40 years running on the 17th November 2009. The celebration took place in the Button Factory, Temple Bar. There was a great turn out on the night and we all really enjoyed ourselves.
