A new date has been set for Ógrastal Ógras. It will now take place on 31st October 2012 as part of Scléip a hÓige, which is being held in Donegal this year. Ógras are hoping for at least one leader from both Ógras and Óg-Ógras clubs to attend on the day and up to five club members from the Ógras clubs. 

The Ógrastal is held every year and a couple of events are held in the course of this meeting.

Annual Report

Among the events held is the Ógras AGM. This affords the opportunity for the members to hear a report on what has been achieved in the organisation for the past year as well as what is planned for the coming year.

Coiste Stiúrtha (Steering Committee)

The clubs have the opportunity to nominate people to the Ógras Coiste Stiúrtha. Three young club leaders and three adult leaders may be elected to the new Coiste.

Presentation from the Clubs

The clubs have the chance to make a presentation on the work in which they are engaged in their own district and also to refer to any problems or difficulties they may be encountering. Every effort is made to assist them in overcoming any difficulties.

Resolutions

In the period leading up to the Ógrastal, both the Coiste Stiúrtha and the clubs may submit resolutions which they wish to have discussed at the conference. Issues such as education, youth work, Ógras events, new projects, the development of the organisation and of course the Irish language itself are discussed, along with many other issues which have a bearing on the aims and work of Ógras.
