Cluichí Tailteann 2010 will be held in Galway from the 23 - 25 April and we will be staying in Sleepzone hostel again this year. All the sports competitions will take place in Coláiste Mhuire but we will be in the Clybaun hotel for Friday and Saturday nights events. Bígí linn!

Cluichí Taiteann 2009:

Cluichí Tailteann Ógras were held in Galway this year, frm the 3 – 5 April. Clubs came from all over Ireland to participate in the weekend. We all reached Galway on Friday evening and went straight to the Clybaun Hotel to attend the Ógrastal (Ógras’ yearly meeting). After the meeting we put a start to some of the competitions – club flag, set dancing and group dancing and the clubs bands. When the competitions finished everyone went back to Sleepzone, the hostel we were staying in for the weekend.

Everybody was up early Saturday morning to start the sports competitions. All the clubs took part in the different competitions and everyone tried really had to be the team  taking home the trophies.

On Saturday night we went back to the Clybaun Hotel to have the final competition – skittles, a game everyone loves. The scores were added up and the medals and trophies were presented to the different clubs. Na Dromada from Kerry won ‘The Best Club’ this year. Before going back to the hostel we had a disco with DJ Carthach Bán Breathnach.

The buses came to Sleepzone on Sunday morning and everybody had to go back home.
