Teenagers Day Trip

Members from Leinsters Ógras clubs went on a day trip to Skirmish paintballing centre on th 8th May, they spent the day playing against each other. Everybody had a great time and all went home covered in paint. We hope to go back again very soon.

Day Trip to Creggan Park

Óg Ógras clubs in Ulster met up in Derry to participate in an all action fun day in Creggan Country Park. The groups took part in team-building games and a raft building and racing challenge. Even though some of the rafts fell apart and many of the chilren ended up in the cold lake this didn't stop the children facing the final challenge - a 4 metre jump from the pier into the lake!

Some of the leaders found it hard to watch as the children took their turn to leap, even with their helmets and lifejackets it looked far too scary!

There was a boat under the pier ready to pluck the children out of the water but many of them decided to swim to the shore. They were shivering but smiling and bursting with pride as they made their way back to the centre.

Everybody had a great day and we can't wait to do it again next year.

Culture Night 2010
