Ógras Clubs & Events

In Ógras clubs, leaders, supported by adults, oversee a variety of engaging activities including basketball, board games, indoor soccer, Gaelic football, music, dancing, language games, workshops, drama, debates, and art. Ógras provides young people with the opportunity to participate in Oireachtas na Gaeilge—the national festival celebrating the Irish language—allowing them to connect with fellow young Gaels from across the nation. With Ógras clubs established throughout the country, we also coordinate regional, national, and even international events for them.

Youth clubs typically function once a week for a duration of 1.5 to 2 hours. They are usually held in a community hall or centre, staffed by a dedicated team of local volunteers. Participation from young people is entirely voluntary. The club’s schedule is diverse, featuring activities such as sports, music, singing, dancing, outings, discussions, workshops, community engagement, and involvement in regional and national events.

Our programs foster personal growth while prioritising enjoyment in all aspects.
