S.Y.N.C. Erasmus+ Youth Exchange in Croatia 2026

If you are passionate about music, creativity, and connecting with people from different cultures, the S.Y.N.C. Erasmus+ Youth Exchange could be an unforgettable opportunity. Taking place in Novaki, Croatia from 18th June to 26th June 2026, this international youth exchange brings together young people to explore self-expression, collaboration, and community through music.

S.Y.N.C. stands for Sound • Youth • Network • Community — a unique Erasmus+ youth exchange project focused on using music as a tool for creativity, intercultural understanding, and social connection. The project is coordinated by Ocean Znanja u Republici Hrvatskoj and funded through the Erasmus+ programme by the Croatian National Agency AMPEU.


Participants will take part in a wide range of interactive activities including:


  • Rhythm and percussion sessions
  • Vocal workshops and choir activities
  • Collaborative music-making
  • Creative self-expression exercises
  • Cultural sharing and intercultural learning
  • Community engagement through performance


The project aims to show how music can bring people together beyond language and cultural differences.

The exchange is open to young people aged 18 to 30 years old from four participating countries. Each partner organisation will send 5 participants and 1 group leader, creating a total group of 24 participants.


You do not need to be a professional musician to join. The organisers welcome participants with all levels of musical experience, from complete beginners to experienced singers, instrumentalists, or songwriters. What matters most is:


  • Openness to new experiences
  • Interest in music and creativity
  • Willingness to collaborate
  • Motivation to meet people from different cultures

One of the biggest advantages of Erasmus+ projects is that participation is highly accessible. There is no participation fee for the exchange.


Travel costs are reimbursed according to Erasmus+ distance bands, with additional support available for green travel options such as buses, trains, or car sharing.
